Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 1 whole Iceberg lettuce
  • 250 g Pork mince
  • 1 whole Red chilli finely chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 2 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice

Instructions

  • Prep your salad by washing and drying the lettuce leaves
  • Get the hob onto a medium flame and heat the oil. Toss in the onions and stir for 1-2 minutes. Add in the mushroom, chilli, ginger, and garlic. Cook for a further 1-2 minutes.
  • Plop in the pork mince and turn the heat to high. We want to cook the meat fast. Stir the mince in thoroughly for 1-2 minutes or until the pork starts to brown.

Notes

The pork has a sweet and salty flavour, which contrasts beautifully with the sharp tang of the lime juice. Lettuce complements the dish wonderfully with its delicate sweetness. For such a simple dish, it hits 4/5 flavour points. Pretty impressive, I’d say!
